I am having this problem with accessing cpanel from work, ofcourse I am behind a firewall and I can not enable access to the necessary port. I just recently stumbled accross this forum about webmail on port 80 and was wondering if there was anything like this for cpanel

Please let me know if there is, I have tried programs like http-tunnel but that just adds another cost for me.

Thanks

No, there is no possible way to setup Cpanel to run on port 80. It runs separate from the webserver as a daemon and has to have it's own dedicated port to run on.

You need get in touch with whoever is responsible for the maintenance of the firewall and get them to open port 2082 up on it.

Thanks, but I guess I have to stick with a proxy tunneler to bypass our firewall. There is no way they are going to open any ports for me.

Thanks again.
