i created the index.html file... and went to edit code. when i got there the only thing i changed was the "title" and i put "beau monde visual entertainment". and i hit save. so it should just be a white background with an altered title. but when i go to my domain im still seeing the index.

I think I might know what the problem is. What are you using to edit your code? Sometimes, computers when they do not recognize the file format will save it as their default format which .txt. When I first started editing HTML in Notepad, when I went to save the document, I'd put in the name (index.html) in the save as box and then below in the Save as type drop down menu, I would have to click on ALL FILES for it to save it as a .html file and not txt. This of course it just a suggestion and theory.
Looking at your index through your IP address, since I can't seem to get to it from your domain name, it just says index, and not index.html like the other html that works is on there. Also when I go to your IP address and do youripaddress/~username/index.html a 404 comes up, meaning that the index file you have in there is NOT saving as HTML. |
