I've installed a couple of Scripta stuff to try out, but one question - how do I UNinstall? I've deleted the folder off my FTP, but it won't completely disappear

You should be able to go into the Script installation for whichever script you are trying to remove and there is a remove feature towards the bottom of the screen for all scripts.

ive had a similar experience and i've used the uninstall as you directed patrickb.

some of this stuff just don't go away, and my FTP client won't let me delete some files - claiming i don't have permission to nuke them.

i didn't email support cause i got plenty of space to spare, but it would be nice to get rid of PHPpuke and 4images for good and all.

also - and this may just be me - but suddomains don't seem to go away when they are removed. theres still a directory in limbo that i can't get rid off, waiting there - taunting me.

Have you tried cPanel file manager. I've had the same problem with several ftp clients. cPanel seems to take care of it when ftp wont.

si, sure did.

well, i installed the stuff in publc_html, it may just be me, but for some reason - i can only work with folders at are in in the home/user directory, and can't drill into public_html with cPanel file manager and then wipe stuff below.

perhaps this is a user error on my part. is there something else to file manager that i'm missing?

This happend to me.
I couldn't delete stuff. I mean they got deleted, but the folder was left empty. but still there.

couldn't get rid of it.
so I moved it out of public_html to a dir' I called Trash, and deleted trash and it was fine.

guess its a bug?

mmarnett, you need to click on the little folder icon to change into the actual public_html directory. Make a test installation for me, and them send me your login information for your account via PM so I can look into what the cause is and hopefully find a resolution.

hi patrickb

for some reason when i click , double click or whatever on the public_html folder i just get - exactly what i had before. in other words i see public_html, tmp, www, ftp etc and some stray files.

there is no changing into the folder.

now - heres; what else i find curious. there's a couple of files i see there in home/user - that i don't see when I ftp over to the same directory. shouldn't it be the same both ways?

i'll PM you the account info.
