this is my first account with a cpanel available to me. I love the convenience of some features. Having phpmyadmin is awesome pre installed. in my eyes it is a must for any site.
However, i found i was having a problem ... using the editor in file manager. I was thinking initially it was convenient to change minor snippets of code in files rather than a d/l u/l with ftp and the like. what i came to realize after a few turns at this is that in *.php files , there was added code added to the page. i was getting errors on line numbers but when i took the file to a file editor to try and find the source... the line number would be 3 or 4 lines beyond any written/visible script. is there a fix for that or would more specificity be needed? has anyone else had these issues or others with file manager? TIA

We don't create cPanel... wish we did (that is why we partnered with them and can sell licenses though
) so I have told them about this... seems like an issue like this would have been fixed already! I will keep you updated. Please bump this thread as the days go along or send in a support ticket. |

ok thanks. for now ill just use conventional means ... sort of used to those anyways. it is kind of funny how all those things that i spent hours upon hours learning how to do and finding and searching for the tools to do them are all conveniently packaged for me.
being a big fan of looking for different mods and such to add to a site code alterations are quite frequent.. perhaps not so much for cpanel to figure it out (if in fact it is a cpanel issue) rather... maybe if others have the same error... then perhaps this might be one of those did you check to see ifs.. thanks in advance
