Ok. I hooked up an RSS feed.. but when you click a link and it takes you to the 'headline' page, there is all this 'garbage' at the top of the RSS listing. Can this be modified?

I just popped over to have a look. Yep, that's the way it works. Can it be changed? I'm sure it could if you want to hack on the php code. Otherwise, we can look for another module that will come closer to what you want.
I don't care for it either. I'll let you know what I come up with. ![]() John

do you know what php file that is? I'll look and see if it's something I might fool around with...
But keep your eye out for one that allows better RSS re-formatting! John

Go to modules -> headlines (? - not looking at the moment) folder. Beyond that, start poking around.
![]() Find something in the offending block that you can search for. May be hardcoded, may be assigned to a variable. A little hunting will usually track down the offending code. Good luck, and I'll see what I can find. Looking now. ![]() John

Whenever I login for the first time to my xoops site it says
"This is your first time to enter the administration section. Press the button below to proceed." So I click the submit button below and it says "Logging you in..If the page does not automatically reload, please click here" And then it takes me back to the page that says this "This is your first time to enter the administration section. Press the button below to proceed." I go through this endless loop forever. |

after the first time, just then go to your xoops url. Close that page, then go straight to 'yourwebsite/xoops' or wherever you're putting it.

I'll let you know when I come up with something. Hopefully stewdio, carnuke, or one of the other xoops faithful will know and post first. Or, if all else fails, feel free to post over at xoops.org. That's where the real pros are, and they are really nice and helpful. ![]() John

2 things:
Have you deleted the install folder yet? If not, delete it. Do you have a firewall running? If so, try disabling it and try again. If that's the problem, you'll have to add your site to the firewall rules to let it through. Let me know. John
