Does your existing host use Cpanel? If so, just give the folks in support the user name, IP address, and password to your old CPanel. They'll move the domain in total. (just be patient... this might take a day or so for them to get to...)

Wow, that solution almost feels too decadent! I'll ask support but I am on a time constraint in that regard, I have a full site and DB backup already but CI is asking me to pay a year up front or nothing (!) and they are going to cut it off any day now, so hopefully I can squeeze through the window before it slams shut...

Do you have in your CPanel

Full backup download? You should do a full backup and not just a database backup as soon as possible. This may be used to set up not only your xoops database but your entire site if you give the full backup to support here.

XOOPS Does not work with PHP 5.0.0 did a test at 4:00 am on my server some how a few of my clients noticed 8O

heres a link to the fix for when surpass upgrades to PHP 5.0.0

I think I may be hanging out in here more often. I've run several xoops sites in the past (never 57 or even half of that), and currently run a few of them now. So please feel free to use my brain and past experience.

Angry Module icons do not appearl in my Xoops admin menu

Hi my fellow surpassXoopers,

I encounter a technical problems now :cry3:

hereafter is the description:
1. My site is located in serva, I reside in Taiwan time zone is +8 GMT
2. I used Scripta to install Xoops 2.0.6 then manually upload 2.0.7 patch.
3. I also install traditional Chinese language pack for 2.0.7 upgrade verion after I patched 2.0.7.
4. I installed some modules downloaed from Xoops.org and one from unoffical resource call newbbplus1.2, which is a enhanced forum module.
5. The problem is after I install some modules, I suddenly discover that some module icons, which suppose to show at the left column of my administative menu when I am in the module management section, disappear.

I browse all other official and unofficial orums, which gave no answer on this issue, I think it could be server's problem, so I post my problem here.

Some related answers about my issue, I've checked and listed below:
1. in official forums, some guys encouter similiar problem, but he is ok after he reset his webmasters' privillage rights. well not for me, I did that, nothing changes.
2. SQL connection limit could cause this problem, well I have no idea how many SQL connection I have, but since my site just start, the sql connection should not use out that quickly.

Thank you fellows, I wish that I could be saved by you guys....... :reddance:

First of all, it's always best to do the install yourself. I've had problems in the past using installers like Fantastico and Scripta, so my trust level for them has dropped to 0. I prefer doing the installs myself. I've just had too many screwed up installations in the past to use them (atleast with xoops on the line).

When did the problem start? Was it occuring after the initial install, after the language pack, after the official modules, or after the unofficial one?

When you say they disappear, it isn't like the browser image bug many of us seem to have, where the images disappear, but the red x is still there where they are supposed to be?
