Not sure if it's just me but sometimes it takes me up to an hour or so to install these.

Pictures and "pretties" just slow the loading of the page :p
If you're refering to my post, then I did not mention anything about Scripta's appearance. All I said was maybe Scripta can look into how Fantastico handles installations on non-top level folders.

I think that's why most people use automated installers like Scripta, but then again if you want to customise it you won't have to download the whole script. Just the bit that is needed and cause I'm on dial-up, I just don't really have to the time to do a manual install.

Then, how about have Scripta prompt you pretty much the same questions the installer does? That way, you don't lose out on any configuration?

That would require a lot more coding I think. The purpose of Scripta and Fantastico is to just install it for you and then you do the customising and editing yourself.

I suggested that because of this comment:

I see, but still not sure if that would be a good idea since some users would try and customise it themselves and end up in an error. That's why the installer does it all itself and that's the reason people like to use the installers.

As for my reply to that comment, if you don't like Scripta then don't use it, but if others feel that they want to use it don't tell them not to.

Now what I want to know is if this will installations on subdomains and folders of subdomains be in the next version of Scripta.

Scripta's slogan is along the lines of dreaming, so I thought Id dream.

vBulletin forum software

seriously, though it won't happen.

On another idea, how bout offering that hybodus, or looking into that. It would be a very nice feature for reseller accounts. (Its commercial though so youd have to talk to them about it.

I thought Hybodus didn't have a price tag yet.
