Hey Jetweb,

you care to post that fix or maybe a link to it? I use 4images too and the thumbnail quality is pretty nasty.

Thanks in advanced.

In (/includes/image_utils.php) "image_utils.php" file, edit the following line:

".$quality." -antialias -sample $width"."x"."$height \"$src\"

Change the word '-sample' to '-geometry'

".$quality." -antialias -geometry $width"."x"."$height \"$src\"

Thumbs look great now!

Exclamation

I still can't get the auto-thumbnailer or the resizer to work. Anyone got this to work and you know how to do it? (This is what I get in both the Admin panels.)

Select module to create thumbnail.
Check module settings.

Oops... my bad.... I didn't have any module selected.... :o

So.... For the silly people like me....

Step #1, make sure you set it to auto-thumbnail.
Step #2, make sure you select a conversion tool. ImageMagick is installed on all servers, so you can use that.
Step #3, put in a path for ImageMagick (just below where it asked you what module to use). Supposedly the most common path is "/usr/X11R6/bin/convert" (source), although there are a few other common options that can be seen here.
Step #4, if it still doesn't work no matter what you do, email support[at]surpasshosting.com <-- This is the step I am at. *shrugs*

Good luck!

We shall see, though thanks for the support. Of course I get back the auto reply which lists the three Knowledge Base articles that I have already read. :P

Oh well. I will be patient and try to do something productive in the meantime.

Quote:
ImageMagick error. Wrong path or ImageMagick not installed.
Check module settings
