4Images Auto Thumbnail?

I just installed the 4images script, but can this script make thumbnails automaticly (i.e. upload image and done)?? It appear that it can but doesnt seem to work. I have to go to the "Auto-Thumbnailer" section and do it form there. I have "Auto-create thumbnail" clicked as YES in the "Settings" section but still not done automaticly. Am I missing something or is this just not possible?

Do you have the proper tool settings for the image resizing? I haven't used 4Images in a while, but I'm pretty sure you can use GD or ImageMagick. The proper settings have to be entered in order for them to work properly.

I do. I think I have it figured out. If you upload via the admin panel you have to create the thumbnails. If you upload via the user panel it does it automaticly.

make sure you have auto thumb checked in setting. After checking to see that you do upload a image or two, than go to Auto Thumbnailer and set the setting to how you want them and click create. I will show you mine

Hmm. I've heard ( I don't have any gallery apps running yet...) that ImageMagick is the best.

ImageMagick is the best. Oh my ones, the thumbnails are crystal quality.

Oh and if you add via admin panel, I think you have to manually thumbnail it with the "auto-thumbnailer". Doesn't take too long really, a min or so would do all your images.

I found a fix at the 4images forums. The thumbnail quality was a result of the 4Images php script not IM after all. Thumbs look great now! Thanks everyone!
