I have a one page website, www.juicefree.com. Awstats says I've had 249 visits and 2009 hits. Whats a hit? I wuld have thought that in this case because it's only one page, that visits and hits would be about the same. Is something fishy going on?

a hit is a smaller unit than a visit - it takes into account the various elements on the page.
including: 1) the stylesheet 2) graphics 3) the HTML 4) any external javascript files the page needs add all these things up - 1 visit that was just 1 page can be lots of hits. |
