Re: Noah's Classifieds
I installed this via Scripta, and have found precious little about it on the 'net. I like it so far, though not being conversant in php, it's been a little tough to configure.
Anyone else have a working installation I can take a look at? Anyone know of a forum for this software? Looked all over and didn't see any. TIA!

Have not installed it, but was considering it. I'll watch this thread to see what other people say. Where is your installation at?

my site is in my sig - com-pacowners.com/Classifieds/ is the URL.
phpoutsourcing are the authors, and yes I saw that info, but it's a bit light on particulars. Being a php and CSS n00bie, I could do with some more. In particular, I'd like to futz around with the color schemes, which I have simulated locally by changing values inside the php script, but my efforts (admittedly not too intensive as yet) have been inconsistent in their results. I was hoping to take a peek at the source for a page from a php Guru's cool-looking classified page, maybe run across some different ideas, techniques, that sort of thing. I haven't seen too much in the way of customization of Noahs on the web. |

When I did a search for powered by noah's I found several sites that are using Noah's and have customised it. You will most likely not get much from viewing the source of a php doc. Php basically "creates" the page on the server from the program itself. However, seeing that it can be done will certainly inspire you to give it a try.

Also, tweaking the default gifs resulted in some artifacts that I couldn't get rid of, stuff showing from the background table that, although I did not change the size of the gif, does not show up when using the default. Again, thanks. Doesn't seem like many surpassers are using this app...
