Video
I put up amusic video just to test playing vids online
http://ax-n.net/video.htm it plays it sketchy the first time as it laods then plays it nice a nd flawless the second time...is there a way in the vid code to made it preload?

hmmm. I assume these are AVIs? When you encode them what are you using to encode? I typically encode my animations in DIVX and save as a quicktime MOV and I can tell the encoder to either stream the movie right away, or wait until a buffer is built up (some number of seconds of playback has been downloaded)

yes they are avi's as i didnt make the avi's i i dont know i uploaded them and croped vid code i found on other sites and somehow got it to work...just view source and you will see the code

Hmmm to be honest I am not sure that you can set up streaming from the code per se. I think it's part of the movie itself whether or not it loads first then plays, or buffers, or plays immediately.
I'll try to do some research and get back to you on it. In the meantime you may want to try googling this subject.

video depends on 3 things:
1- the users default viewer 2 - the viewer settings in your code 3 - the encoding method used. If you encode to wm9 you'll get smoother, lower bandwidth transfers and 85% of your visitors have the software to view them. That AVI was Mpeg2. Only people with DVD software on their computers can view Mpeg2. John

good point indeed, as i said that was just a test for me, so may i inquire as to some good software to encode it as wm9?
