Rollover Problem {Opera}
Hi,
I'm having a problem with my rollovers. They use Javascript to switch the image and replace it back. It's in a PHP page with XHTML and CSS as the face. I'm really stumped as to what's causing this, but in the web browser Opera the rollovers just aren't working properly on all of the buttons at the top. The work fine in Internet Explorer and Firefox (though Firefox has a rendering bug elsewhere..) The URL: http://www.hauglanddesigns.com/beta/ I've tried moving them to different places, but they continue to not function properly. I'm using Opera 7.6 preview 1. Any suggestions or ideas? |

Looks nice in Firefox!
Have you thought of using CSS to do the rollovers?

Hmm, is that compatible with Internet Explorer though? I had thought it wasn't. If it is I'll surely make the switch!
Oh right.. the bug in Firefox seems to be a little black line coming off the bottom-right corner of the password box. Does look good though, thanks. |

yeah, css 'buttons' work fine in IE (5 or higher), netcrap, and almost all other browsers.

Yeah, I went and searched on google after my post and found a good reference, although I cleaned it up a lot. Works great! They seem to occasionally "flash" a bit, but at least it's working in the 3 top browsers.
Thank you very much for the suggestion. +1 rep (or as soon as I spread some elsewhere..) |

Opera interprets valid html incorrectly. Its a terrible browser.
Go Firefox!

Sorry to burst your bubble, but Firefox does it too (the flashing thing). As for the initial problem, it's likely something to do with MY code as I'm a BEGINNER when it comes to XHTML and CSS for doing layouts (probably screwed something up so the javascript didn't function properly). Especially considering a majority of the buttons worked fine.

I would definatly use css and hover as you will not have the weird things going on with js like you do with Firefox {ie flickering}
