cPanel Themes
I'm trying to figure out how Surpass handles the themes for WHM and cPanel.
Would I be correct to say that theme "x" is modified by surpass? My cPanel updated recently so I had a brief change in themes. I kinda like the original blue "x" theme compared to the new one that says "cpanel xp" on an orange background. I aim to eventually use a branded theme. What are our options for managing themes ourselves? Just picking from what's available and branding it? Is there a way to change the cpanel theme from within cpanel (instead of changing via the package manager in WHM)? I have lots of questions on this general topic... I'll post post the others later.

Yeah, I'm also curious about that, how you can change the theme xp logo on the top...
I had my own logo on top before CPanel updated to Theme XP. |

The old X theme could be changed, this one not
. Is there a way Surpass could enable this? or maybe they could give us a hint how to change it? Thanks! |

I think that thread is referring to dedicated hosting. I'm a reseller and a lot of the features mentioned in it and at
http://www.cpanel.net/docs/whm/index.html are not available to me. I noticed there's an "x2" theme to choose from (looks like x with larger header), but some of the icons are broken graphics in it. Not sure if its brandable, haven't tried yet. Would really prefer the default x look to the modified xp look. Side note: isn't it kinda rude of a program to update itself AND reset settings to default without asking? Seems like an administrative pain in the butt...

Yeah I agree on that last thingy, about resetting to the default...
I changed my top logo, and suddenly BAM!... it changed to the XP logo and their is no way I can change it again in WHM ![]() |
