geeklog question

Well, I used scripta to install geeklog, and fixed all the incorrect firectory permissions from 755 to 775 where the geeklog docs say to, however I'm running into issues with it giving me errors anytime I try to save something because of bad permissions.

I'm guessing that the problem is that everything is installed as user = me and that it then gets executed as user = apache or whatever. The only solution I see to this is chmod everything to 777, but that would seem to open it up to executing scripts I don't want executed or altering content that shouldn't be altered.

Any suggestions?
