ok, that makes a little more sense. What I'll have to do though is throw up a screen shot of the work in progress, show you exactly what I mean though.

Sure.
This method works great if you're using a CSS based layout too.

![]() sorry it took so long, I had to switch computers and use the bathroom. plus I had to export this and my computer decided to take a while to do so. It's low quality so it loads a bit faster, when I get closer to being done, I'll probably show people the thing in better quality (png). what I need to do is have the top, the bottom, and the right (MRCOOLDALE sideways) static. I want them to load super fast, only a fraction of a second, when you click on the links/navigation. I need everything there to stay cached, otherwise some of those images will take a while to load everytime. The only thing that will change is where the content is (lorum ipsum dolor sit amet...) and the thing right above it "[.001] point 0 0 one." how do I make all that stuff load really fast, or stay static, while the content of the pages load. iFrames won't work in this instance, it'll mess with my design as I plan on having one of those pages a blog (maybe). edit: the header is ugly, I know. It's not even close to being done, it's basically a space holder at the moment. - Dale?

Basically what you can do is load the entire page as a background to a container div.
Then you layout your body div's over the top of that. Or a combination of these. my site - http://emerging-tech.stegenga.net is done that way.

I guess I'll have to move some of my questions over to CSS than. I'm not too great with CSS at all, I need to learn that stuff. I do what I can, if I need help, I'll put it in the CSS forum then.
Thank you so much for your help bigjohn, it's been quite informative. - Dale?
