Xoops sites?
I'm always curious as to what others are doing with their Xoops installations. So...care to show them?
Mine are at these locations: BadMovieReview My reviews of movies I thought were worthy of such a site. Lindavester.net The largest fan site dedicated to Linda Vester, of the Fox News Channel. Edited out Sidebreak and NCU because they aren't Xoops sites anymore. Last edited by David; May 18th, 2005 at 1:56 PM.. |

Since we can all be uber ninj4, I guess we just do the best we can.
I have 2 sites that are still being finished, but are far enough along to at least get an idea. www.dconline.org This is a website for my church. www.lincolngop.com This is a website for the local Republicans. Just started on this one. Still need to add a lot of the content. I've got several more sites in the planning stages, but time is scarce for me. John

I saw your Extreme Home Makeover image which reminded me.. we actually had that show (no, not the God edition) come out to our city and film. OUR city.. the most podunk city in Orange County. I live in Yorba Linda. Haven't heard of it? Yeah, I don't blame you. |

That's a pretty cool show.
Actually, believe it or not, I believe I have heard of Yorba Linda. I haven't listened in a long time, but I believe Rush Limbaugh used to mention it every once in a while. John

Well, I am still a student of php and have not made much progress lately. Until I become the "PHP-Master", I use different CMS options to fullfill my needs. I have been a long-time supporter of Postnuke but the bickering, fighting and childish behaviour had me looking elsewhere. That's when I found Xoops and I have been using it for most every new site that I need a CMS on. So far, it has fullfilled all of my CMS needs when the time arose to use one.
OK, off the soap box, two examples of sites I have done with Xoops: Surf Stigler http://www.surfstigler.com This site is still a work in progress and has not been officially released to the public. It is a city portal for a quaint little rural town, Stigler Oklahoma. My parents live there and expressed a need for a town website. So far, it looks like when it is officially released it is going to be a BIG hit. We've had many people express an interest in writing articles and being forum moderators and things of that nature. I'll let you know when it actually pans out. I've not had much time to work on it lately. Please ignore the front page as I am still trying to decide the best way to present all that data for annonymous (i.e. not logged in) users. Although the site is free for members, it is still membership based and I want to have a main page that shows just what the benefits of joining would be. I'm thinking of reducing it to a definition list with smaller graphics. ...just thinking out loud again... Walker Network http://www.walkernetwork.com This is my reseller site. It also is a continuous work in progress but it has been luanched on the public and I've had what I consider a good response from it so far. We're going through some major revisions and adding new features but time has flown by lately with not many updates. Sadly, when it comes to other peoples' sites (clients and non-clients alike), I'm dedicated, and focused and finish the job...when it comes to my own sites, I lag behind and sometimes they stagnate until I can get the time to update them. That's how it goes I guess.
