Why does my site look like utter crap in Fox Fire .. and perfect in IE?

And probably because you are not coding to CSS/HTML standards, but rather to IE standards. You should run a validator for your page, to find out what isn't up to code. http://www.w3schools.com/site/site_validate.asp
