Personally, I use WS-FTP Pro for everything I do via FTP. Mass Deletion is a great thing to do over FTP because it's a one click deal. It does take a little longer though, depending on how much stuff you have.

And WS-FTP LE is supposed to do mass deletion as well. You may have to check the options in the program.

Ahh awesome! Thank you very much. I'm not much of an explorer in certain programs, but generally get by without questioning -- I more or less assumed it blocked them for a reason.

Oh, and we (Mike's) like to confuse the world by having so many others with the same name. I once had a class with a total of 4 Mikes. 4/30 = 13.3% of the class was named Mike. Muahaha.

It blocks them in the case of a shared computer... for example a work computer, where multiple people might be able to access it. I found that option, and since I'm the only one licensed to touch my laptop, I decided it was useful, since I'm always forgetting passwords.

It generally could be considered a lapse in security.. but hey, I'm alright with that.

Which reminds me I still haven't recovered my password for that one website cPanel.. hmm...

Heh, it will be useful.. Clients always give me FTP information so I can move their site, and then a week later when I have to move the FTP into Dreamweaver to make a change I haven't got a clue what the password is. That reminds me.. I have work to do soon so that I can get a paycheck.

i used ws_ftp for quite long time, but i love SamrtFtp to ftp my files from now on.
ws_ftp Pro has directory deleting feature, but i guess ws_ftp LE hasn't.
i am not sure, but i will stick with SmartFtp for sure in the future.
