Surpass is a xoops-friendly hosting evironment (as long as they don't upgrade to PHP5 anytime soon ;-)) and I host my own and hsalazar's sites here (both in development).

ah...very awesome. yes, i'm dreading the jump to php5, as i know it will be a day when i'm not paying attention due to having to fight galactic sea monkeys or something, and all of my sites will die lol

PHP5 pulled XOOPS hair while they were playing in the sandbox. Then PHP5 pushed XOOPS out of the box and wont apoligise.
PS. (Yes, this was a pointless post, seeing as I never used XOOPS before) Tracer

You're right, we're currently testing a beta release which has PHP5 compatibility. CHeck for the 2.0.9 beta release on www.xoops.org :-)

XOOPS 2.0.7.3 and lower isn't PHP5 compatible because of some clone() functions and a few others that PHP5 deals with differently compared to PHP4. SImple things, but pervasive throughout the core, so it needs a bit of testing.
