Hi folk. Hopefully this is a quicky.
When I create a redirect in CPanel, is it handled by CPanel modifying .htaccess or is it handled internally by the webserver? I tried a redirect (which works) but .htacess is unchanged. I feel more comfortable modifying .htaccess ('cos I can work out how it interprets trailing slashes etc) but a "black box" redirect through some hidden server setting leaves me less in control.
