folder/bandwith limit?

hi is there a way for me to put a limit on the bandwidth and size usage of an ftp account?

in a word, no.

on a shared account you have no control over quotas.

If you have a reseller, you can create the account in WHM as a subdomain and control the resources there.

While this could alert you, it won't prevent someone from linking to a file there and downloading it, thus exceeding the bandwidth. Nor will it automatically dis-allow further uploads, unless its a complicated script that can actually interface with Cpanel and change the password on the account when limits are exceeded.

You have some statistic data in your tmp folder ... it can be used with crontab to send out some warning or so.
