Hey.
I just recently transfered from another host (powweb.com) and I was using .htaccess to prevent file leeching. However, when I uploaded all my files here, the .htaccess file went away and I guess "transfered" into the "prevent hotlinking" section of the cpanel. My problem is: The cpanel's thing makes my files not accessable to the user. Which is seriously strange to me cuz im using /folder/file.extension and not http://amf4u-online.com/folder/file.extension Why would cpanel's hotliner thing block files when htaccess did not? And is there a way to get htaccess back up?? This is a big issue cuz now all these people who've been direct linking are getting working files which is going to kill my bandwidth. Please help! |

cpanel should allow you to block specific types of files. check your file structure again. if you turn on hotlink blocking, it should create an .htaccess file. it did that with one of my sites, as i see now actually
