Cursor
Changing the cursor to a gif or jpg? Is this possible? If not, what about a different cursor type.

refer to this page for the properties of the cursor class edit; you can probably search the web for a tool that can convert a jpg into a cursor file

Most people are content with the cursor theme they or their OS has chosen for them. Changing up cursors and scrollbars to unfamiliar pictures or colors is poor usability practice. I would recommend against it to keep your users much happier :p
