Annoyed at stupid error...
Okay, so I don't know how to fix this, but I really need too...
Problem 1: When I have a WYSIWYG editor on, I can't create any new content. The editor loads in the "intro text" box, and then basically greys it out. I can't click on it or type anything in. But when I have no editor enabled, it works fine. If it was just my site, this wouldn't be a problem, but the person editing this site isn't exactly computer literate. Problem 2: When I try to then install a different editor, to see if I can fix the problem that way, I get this error: Warning: mkdir(/home/gracelut/public_html/mambots/editors/fckeditor/): Permission denied in /home/gracelut/public_html/administrator/components/com_installer/admin.installer.php on line 190 Now I have no clue what that means, everything was uploaded as is for this installation. As it's probably important, I'm running 4.5.1a... or at least that's what the admin panel is telling me, since I installed and ran versions of Mambo throughout their upgrade stage, so I don't even know for sure. So basically, I need to resolve one of these problems... I can't remember if the editor ever worked (referring to problem 1) because I have multiple installations of mambo I've used, and some I use editors, others I don't... But I guess if anyone can help me, I would be eternally grateful... Thanks ![]()

Well, check to make sure all the proper folders are WRITEABLE... this basically means to chmod them all to 777 in your ftp client.
A permission denied error usually means the folder in not chmod correctly. These are the folders that need to chmod to 777: administrator/backups/ administrator/components/ administrator/modules/ administrator/templates/ cache/ components/ images/ images/banners/ images/stories/ language/ mambots/ mambots/content/ mambots/search/ media/ modules/ templates/ Once you check that, then try again. As for TinyMCE editor... make sure you have it published under the MAMBOTS installation section. Go to MAMBOTS, then select SITE MAMBOTS, then select TinY MCE EDITOR. Once you get there, make sure on the right hand side you see "Functionality" and select ADVANCED. Then save it. I hope this helps. -- BlaZe --

All the folders are definately chmod correctly.. that's the first thing I checked, double checked and did it again.. Still erroring.
Annnd I'll go check that other thing.. I think it was working before, which makes it all the more irritating... but I'll post back results in a minute.
