Hello -

Dime13 is showing signs of drive failure. The drive has had a life of 9,104 power on hours, which is roughly 380 days. We are scheduling a restore to be performed on Friday, April 18th, 2008

10:00pm EST.

The amount of data on the drive is approximately 110GB, thus the estimated time to complete the data transfer is 8 - 10 hours.

Hello,

The restore of Dime13 is getting postponed for a week. The new restore date has been set for April 25th

10:00PM EST.

While setting up the new machine, we found that due to heavy software diferences between the old and the new server, we will need to first upgrade some of that software on the original server.

To not cause longer downtime than necessary - we would rather perform all the necessary updates, make sure that everything is working properly and only then sail into the restore.

Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns by opening a ticket in our helpdesk.

The restoration is going on as planned. I will now be taking the server offline and starting the restoration progress. I will update the forums shortly after all has been completed and the restoration progress has begun.

Hello -

Dime13 is back online and the accounts are currently being moved over from the failing drive to the new, larger disk. This process is estimated to still take 8-10 hours. You will start seeing your sites come back online, starting with accounts 'a' and ending at 'z'.

I will update the forums once again upon completion.

Unfortunately we will have to do an emergency restore tonight at 10PM EST on dime13 due to some issues some users have been reporting. The restore is an emergency thus the reason for the short notice. It should be completed within 8-10 hours. We will update you when it is completed. Any questions or doubts please email help.desk

We apologize to our clients on Dime13 for the short notice on this restore, but we feel this was necessary for the stability and performance of this server.

Just to update our clients, we have copied over more than half of the accounts on the server, and expect everything to be complete within the next 3-4 hours.

We will continue to update you as much as possible.
