This thread is a timeline for all events occuring to the reseller server Dime13.

Each time this server has an issue it will be posted here.

If you cannot access your site, and there is no announcement here, the reason for it is not caused by this server or our network. You must email support[at]surpasshosting.com to find the root of your problem.

Thank you.

Dime13 (D13 for short) is located in our data center in Orlando, Florida, USA.

1. Weekly backups are performed on Sunday.

2. We will MANUALLY update cPanel to STABLE builds only. This will ensure that our custom skin, modifications and installations are retained.

Patrick's icon up there is so suitable for the Server Announcements board. .
Dime13 just had a slow down and red hots across the board. I will update soon with what occured, if the logs show anything obvious. Other than that, will all be resolved soon at any rate.

Earlier today a site located on Dime13 started receiving a huge increase in traffic. They went through over 19 gigs of bandwidth for today alone whereas they were averaging around 350megs/day for the month. This caused a slowdown on dime13 and made it unresponsive. The account has been suspended and we are working with the owners to get them moved off of Dime13 now.

First, thanks to everyone who has been patient with the move and congrats to everyone who didn't have any problems due to uploading data during the DNS propagation.

We emailed all users last night (not with the mailing list as it isn't ready, but to the emails you are to keep updated in your client area) that the files were done transferring.

If anyone needs a database moved over, please let support know. We are working very hard to get the tickets that are submitted answered. All of the tickets we have currently have been open for 30 minutes or less, we are caught up pretty well now.

If there are any changes that you uploaded yourself, please reupload them to the new server if it isn't too much trouble. We announced the move was coming up in the forum, so nothing should have been uploaded that was very drastic, in order to save us all quite a few headaches.

We apologize for any frustrations caused if something did not transfer correctly or if there was any other issue. Please just know that the server your accounts on are now, are in our data center in our own control, and all of our other servers that haven't been moved yet, are going to be moved.
:brief:

Please read the information below carefully if you are located on this server.

The old IP is 66.194.153.19

The new IP is 72.29.74.183

IF YOU USE CUSTOM DNS, YOU *MUST* UPDATE YOUR DNS IPs. THIS IS MANDATORY.

ns1 >> 72.29.74.184
ns2 >> 72.29.74.185

If you go to your site and you see a cPanel page that reads "No website configured at this address" that means your

local computer
is trying to load your site on the old IP. Simply restart your PC, modem or router so it can release it from cache.

P.S. If you are using an SSL or have a static IP email esurpasshosting.com with your domain name so we can assign you

a new static IP and make sure your SSL is working correctly.

D13 will have a 2 hour downtime window between
6am and 8am Sunday Jan 22 2006 EST. We will be doing
some movement of racks within the datacenter. We
picked this time which has shown to be the least
traffic on the server. We apologize for any inconvenience.
