has anyone figured it out yet. I have tried to add on a domain but all it seems to do is create a sub domain and my package allows me to have a add on domain so i know that is not the problem. I read the tutorial posted and i think it should be changed because the movie is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay off.. :disgust: :ask:

First you need to remove anything you did in the Add On Domains section of the CPanel.
Then you need to create a folder in your public_html directory. Then go to Add On Domains, specify that folder you created and the domain name you want to point to it. You'll also put in a password, reason for this is unknown to me. That is an Add On Domain. If you get a message that says "You have used the limit of 0/0" or something like that, you'll need to email support because you've probably got a DNS record put on the server during your experimenting that only we can delete, so you can redo your Add On.

When you first log into your cpanel, there are some stats on the left hand side. Make sure that the addon domain says something like 0/1, and not 0/0. If it is all zeros, and your plan is supposed to include the addon domains, you will need to email support to get that fixed.
From the sounds of it, it seems as though you are actually choosing the Subdomains Icon, and you should be chosing the Addon Domains Icon. For some reason I can't seem to find the movie tutorials (I think they are updating the website) so I can't view the movie and tell you how accurate it is.

It's always at
http://www.surpasshosting.com/movies/ and there is no movie for Add On Domain. There is one for Subdomains.. which must be the problem she is having.

i am definately using the one for add on domain not sub domain. i was just making note because you said that there are instructions for add on domains in your tutorials but you only have one for sub domains.

Ah, I thought that might happen. Remember what I mentioned about DNS entries only we can delete.. you'll need to email support about it now.
