Invalid Nameservers
Hi there, I've just got my account information email and when I tried changing my nameservers on an external domain site it keeps saying that the nameservers are invalid.
I've entered the nameservers as specified in the email: ns1089.dizinc.com ns1090.dizinc.com Is there anything that I am not doing right? Thanks alot for any help. |

To use the IPs, you need the IPs of your nameserver, not of your domain. The ones Gaia just listed are correct and correspond to the nameservers you provided. Most registrars are capable of accepting either form but you should definitely try the IPs...

Thanks but I don't think it's working. I've emailed the provider about the issue and am waiting for their reply. How frustrating is this?
Without updating my nameservers, my email accounts associated with that domain will not be able to work as well. Am I right? |

Your emails will get delivered to the old host (if you had one before Surpass) - whatever you currently have listed in WHOIS. If this is a brand new domain, then, no, your email accounts will not work until your DNS info is updated AND the info resolves (which can sometimes take up to an additional 48 hours).
The nameservers are valid, so this does look like a problem with your registrar.

Once you update to these nameservers, you then need to allow up to 48 hours for things to begin working. Sometimes it takes much less time but it depends.
