Add On domain...

I'm not really understanding the use of an add on domain, or did I?
my domain is www.delfinweb.org
so i want to add some add ons, I already read this:
How To Use Add On Domains
that shows you can get another domains simply doing in the add on thing....
so.... i make www.delfinweb.net
all things right...
the subdomain create delfinweb
it can be used as delfinweb.delfinweb.org
but I can't access from delfinweb.net
to make another site for example or just redirect to my delifnweb.org

i have a username but i forgot the pass.. so im blueorca for now...

The domain delfinweb.net hasn't been registered yet. You first need to register the domain name with a Domain Registrar. Then, once it is registered, you need to logon to your Registrar and change the nameservers for delfinweb.net to the same nameservers you used for delfinweb.org.

An addon allows you to point a domain to you, but the domain needs to be registered and have its nameservers updated first.

You might also want to lookup Parked Domains -> this means you can use different urls to access the same site. So delfinweb.net goes to the same place as delfinweb.org

Yes, each and every top level domain has to be registered (bought) with a domain registrar. You can create all the sub-domains you want like news.delfinweb.org or blog.delfinweb.org, but top level domains have to be registered.

well, it is like you have 10 domains. But a domain is not yours until you buy it / register it with a registrar like Surpass, Network Solutions, Godaddy, etc.
