New with one urgent question
Hello Surpass staff and community!
I've been coding a site for the past few weeks and I plan on putting it up soon. I have spent the last 4 hours reading the forums mainly. I'm all set to go except for one question. The site that I am about to put up is a project that I am making for my team. Later on I am going to make another site, probably my main site. I read all about the domain add-on's but later on when I make my main site I don't want to have it under the project site. Is there a way to switch them either for free or little cost? For example: project site.com project site.com/mainsite.com (mainsite.com in browser) Can I reverse that once I get my main site up? also, what if I no longer want to pay for project site.com but I want to keep mainsite.com, how do I handle that in my account? Thank you |

You are paying for the host, not the domain... domain is irrelevant. If you want to change the account name then yes, you may be required to pay a fee, however its really not necessary. The domains fully resolve to their own folder, its not like youll have to use project.site.com/main.site.com in order to access your main site, you can just use main.site.com and no one is the wiser
Even if you no longer need project.site.com, keep the account and just use the main.site.com addon... the resources available are all the same. You wont get a lower price for not using one of your addons (as i believe they are unmetered to beging with) |
