Help!
![]() Ok, bear with me. I currently have one domain (SeriousMuscle.Net) registered with GoDaddy and hosted with Surpass. I just purchased a second domain (APerfectChange.Com) and am wanting to host it on Surpass as well. Now, these are 2 different sites, 99% separate from each other. Do I need to have a secondary hosting package, or am I able to host both with the same shared hosting account? Please let me know if this needs more clarification! Thanks in advance, Matt |

Nope. As long as your plan allows add-on domains. you can go to cPanel, and add it on to your account.
It will be its own domain, and a subdomain of your maindomain.

Just keep in mind, both accounts will use the same control panel when using Add-on domains. You cannot give a separate account to the other domain. I currently have three different sites on one shared hosting account with no problems, using add-on domains.

Alright!
Now...here's the fun part. I've set the new add on domain up several times, and I'm updated the name servers for it at GoDaddy. However, it seems that it is still not routing to my site at all. I apologize if this sounds so newbish, I really do. But, it seems this is one of those things my head is not wrapping around. To make it easier to help me, here's what I have done, in order from the registrar onwards: -updated nameservers at GoDaddy -Turned on Domain Masking/Forwarding at GoDaddy - forwarding to http://www.seriousmuscle.net/mattblog/ (the directory in my FTP client where Aperfectchange.com is located) and masked. -Created add on domain in cPanel on Surpass -created folder at public_html/mattblog and installed wordpress via Fantastico -When visiting aperfectchange.com it is currently routing to http://www.seriousmuscle.net/matt/ Any ideas on why this is not working? I know it's going to be something painfully obvious but it's not coming to me. Thanks again for the help! Matt |

For me it looks ok, just going to a directory listing.
Here's a tracert, it is going to a Surpass server SH105.... Code:

You also don't need to turn on Domain Masking/Forwarding for your new domain. It simply needs to just be setup with the same name servers that your original domain is set for. The add-on domain interface will take care of the DNS forwarding/routing for you.
And as Skipdawg said, it will take 24-72 hours for the new domain to propagate after making changes.

Try a friend who is on a different ISP that has not looked up your site in some time or try checkdns.net
