1 website that only loads sometimes
Hello!
I believe this is a dns problem i'm having. one of the websites on my server only loads sometimes. www.loadsofshows.com is the site. At work, I can connect no problem, but I'm not able to use FTP. At home, I can use both ftp and the site. At my dads house I can ftp, but i cannot view the site. And at some friends computers, I cannot do either! Haha, this is such a fluke I cannot figure out and its driving me nuts. Also, I have learned that on my computer at home, it can load http://loadsofshows.com but not www.loadsofshows.com . This website uses the same dns servers, dns1.sheaallen.com and dns2.sheaallen.com - same as all of my websites, but it is the only one with a problem. Any ideas? -Shea |

Both load for me.
http://www.dnstuff.com shows both names going to the same IP. http://www.dnsstuff.com/tools/lookup...ows.com&type=A http://www.dnsstuff.com/tools/lookup...ows.com&type=A Maybe you have a problem with your local DNS cache? In addition, Ted's Homemade Tools shows both going to the same IP as well. http://www.mob.net/~ted/tools/dns.ph...ook+up=Look+up http://www.mob.net/~ted/tools/dns.ph...ook+up=Look+up I would try clearing your local cache.

we use sprint at work, and cox at home. All the computers at work have a problem connecting to its ftp, not just one. At home it is no problem. But a developer located in Egypt has problems connecting to the FTP as well. I'll try clearing the cache, but that wouldn't effect ftp would it?
Thank you! |
