Bought new domain, how do I link it to my hosting?

Hi again, I have purchased a domain from Surpass Domains and now I want it to point to a directory on my webspace, also with Surpass. Do I use the addon domain (which to be honest, I don't understand) or are there easier ways to do the same thing?

first you want to make sure that you have changed the nameservers of your new domain to point to your existing surpass account.

Then simply login to cPanel... and add the doman through the "Addon Domain" option. Changes can take up to 72 from the time you changed your nameserver. 72 hours is the standard max time for your ISP to recognize the change in nameservers. Usually it never takes that long and can be almost instant for you... However, other ISPs will take longer... so don't be worried if your friend next door on a different ISP can't see your site.
