Transfer OUT to new account
I'm handing over the reigns for a small site I've managed for an organization I'm no longer involved with.
The new webmaster tried to transfer the domain to his new provider. I received a request from the new provider (Network Solutions) asking me to authorize the request, which I did. Network Solutions subsequently asked me (or the new webmaster) for an authorization code: Quote:

You have to contact your registrar for the authorization code. If the domain is with surpassdomains you can submit a ticket to http://desk.surpasshosting.com/ and just request them to send the Authorization Code for that specific domain.
We or whatever registrar you are with will have the code e-mailed to the address the domain was registered with. After you get the code ask the new webmaster to resubmit the transfer request and when it asks for the authorization code use the one that was e-mailed to you. I'm pretty sure you will need to give the auth code to the new webmaster so he can give it to his registrar or enter the code himself.
