Question [Answered] Wrong url came up after signup

Hi all... I am still a newbie but have a good learning curve.

I registred my prior purchased domain and during the signup process i added it like it asked etc...

Anyway , once i received my email with the details of purchase and nameservers my url came back with "2 dots" before the "com" eg...

1kosmos..com

obviously this will be a problem

what do i do now?

i purchased a ticket over an hour ago so do i just wait? i assume i cant do anything..

secondly .. can i still use the website cpanel etc... so i can upload ? i can get to the cpanel but i dont want to upload lots of files if it means i will change IP's and then have to start all over.

Do the NAMESERVERS sent to me only mean that the proper URL of 1kosmos.com or any other URL i want to put to point there will work ? or are the NAMESERVERS only for the wrong URL ( 1kosmos..com ) i mentioned earlier ?

Sorry...

New to this but learning along the way

Cheers

Jon

It may just be a typo. In any event, looks like your domain is registered with Netregistry. You just need to change the Name Servers there to match the ones Surpass Sent you in the email.

You should be to log into your account here: https://client.surpasshosting.com/mb4/ with the email and password you signed up with and verify what the domain name is that got created with your account.

If it is wrong, you can submit a ticket at https://desk.surpasshosting.com and they'll get it corrected.

In any event, you would still need to change the Name Servers at the registrar.

..com isn't a valid domain name anyway, so I kinda doubt it got created like that.. most likely a typo in the email.. hopefully.

Post Thanks for the reply...

It seems it was there from the first stage with the 2 dots ( 1kosmos..com ) cause all my emails had it and the info on the client page u suggested going to has it and it shows it in the current cpanel.
i have sent a ticket to surpass and its slowly getting rectified...

I hope it goes all well

Cheers

Jon
