first off, i hope this is in the right forum =]
If my hostee's on my reseller wanted custom nameservers could i just register them with a domain registrar to the server ip's im on?
Or do they need to be added on surpass's end aswell. ?

if memory serves, it is the client that needs to register the custom name servers with their registrar, but other than that, i dont recall any additional configuration from surpass or the reseller. just the client.

I'm pretty sure you're correct. I just logged into Godaddy and set it up. Everything has worked flawlessly so far.
