[Answered] just a question about add-on domains

ok I just have a small question about add-on domains (i think I've got it right but im not sure)

so say I bought another domain to use as an add-on domain for my account then it would point to a folder thats already on my main account yes?

also what would the person see in their address bar would they see the main domain or would they see the add-on domain as the url in the address bar

im thinking about maybe either getting an addon domain or maybe going for the The One Love Sale promotion hmm but yeah these are just thoughts right now...

Yes, the add-on would point to a folder in your main account. Visitors would see the add-on domain as the url: addondomain.com.

Yep.. all add-on, or parked domains will have the same name servers as your main one.

thanx for that!

last Question now I know that you get "unlimited" email accounts on your hosting account so... if you get a add-on domain can you configure an email account for it via the email account setting page (via cpanel) like you can for your main domain and your sub-domains or would that have to be set up seperately

thanx in advance!

Yes, you can also set emails to sub-domains, too. Just choose the domain from the dropdown menu in cPanel when setting up the email account.
