[Answered] Subdomain Masking
Someone I am designing a webpage for wants to have a phpBB forum and a main page hosted on a free page site. I would like to get a subdomain masking the free site so it appears main.mysite.com instead of freepage.com/person. The free page has some subpages that I would like if possible to show those after the main.mysite.com. ex main.mysite.com/subpage1. I use Godaddy as the registar. I tried setting it up as a subdomain with masking but the page wont resolve. What would be the best way of going about this?
TIA, Brennan PS: I tried to get her to use Joomla but she said it is too confusing.

According to this site... How do you make a subdomain forward to a different host? | Ask MetaFilter
You need to ask Godaddy to setup an A record. Or you can use a free DNS service like DNSexit.com . Bascially, you point your nameservers to dnsexit, and from the dnsexit contol panel, you have complete control over your DNS, CNAME, MX, A, etc. Good luck
