Need your suggestions for domain account
I am beyond peeved at Go Daddy right now due to a pretty major domain name issue and plan to transfer as soon as possible. I am seeking opinions on who I should go with and the reasons behind it. Thank you.

Jacky,
Who are you currently hosted with? From experience, I always like having domain names with the company I am hosted with so I don't have to go to two places for support...just my two cents =) |

I'm the opposite. Keep my eggs in separate baskets.. I register my domains with 1and1.com and host here.
Rates are $6.99 / year, and I've been with them for about 8yrs.

I used to use GoDaddy for domains but a couple years ago everything went bad there for me. Long story short I switched to Enom (with an account through Namepros)

I have my domains split between GoDaddy and Network Solutions. Haven't had problems with either yet as far as Domain Names go. Network Solutions just costs more but the domain names there don't expire until 2010.
Had major issues webhosting at Network Solutions with their lousy support, though, and is how I came to be here. I haven't had to deal with support at GoDaddy so I don't know really if they suck or not LOL.

Namecheap.com - Cheap domain name registration, renewal and transfers - Free SSL Certificates - Web Hosting - Free URL Forwarding, e-mail forwarding and DNS services are included with our cheap domain names registration service
I recommend them, I'm currently transferring a domain from Go Daddy over to them. They provide free Whois too and are easy to use.

I have never had an issue with Godaddy. I've been using them since 2002 and everything has always been good. There were some issues with crazy fees (not to me, but my clients (it was his fault for ignoring my emails and phone calls so he had to pay a $90 fee to reclaim an expired domain)), but their support has always been good to me. I generally call phone support in the middle of the night to minimize wait time.
I did not have a good experience with Enom who was the company used for domains at my first host, and they were a pain to transfer to Godaddy when I left that host. |
