Problem getting a domain name to work properly...

So, I recently registered anatomically-correct.org from GoDaddy. I've set up the nameservers and whatnot. In Cpanel, I went to 'Addon Domains' like I usually do, and, since anatomically-correct.org is being pointed at a sub-directory on my site, I put 'public_html/ac' into the box asking for the directory. However, whenever I go to anatomically-correct.org now, it redirects to anatomically-correct.org/ac, which doesn't exist.

Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

You will probably have to delete the addon domain and then re-add it again, this time letting cPanel automatically make a sub-directory for it, like it usually does.

When I do that, it wants to make the sub-domain 'public_html/anatomically-correct.org'...

Well, the sub-folder is called 'ac'. If I told it to point to 'public_html/anatomically-correct.org', it would be pointing to the wrong folder. o_O

That's the problem then, cPanel automatically creates the subdirectory for you (anatomically-correct.org) but you are creating the folder you want it to point to and here lies the problem, it creates the subdirectory, with a sub-domain called ac within, which doesn't exist under that domain!

That is why, you will need to re-add it so cPanel does it's work and then just switch the files over to the anatomically-correct folder within your root folder. =) Unless you REALLY want the subdirectory to be called 'ac'?

Well, I've already installed my MediaWiki under 'ac', and I don't think it's that easy to switch the files to another folder.

Ah, I see. Hmm...I'm not sure if it would be easy to switch or not, but I would highly suggest at this point to submit a ticket to support to see what they might be able to work with you.

Another suggestion that I would give would be to redirect it with the redirect feature in cPanel.

Wouldn't it be a loop then? If I tell Cpanel to redirect to 'anatomically-correct.org' and it does, then 'anatomically-correct.org' redirects to 'anatomically-correct.org/ac', which then redirects to 'anatomically-correct.org'... I think my brain's going to explode...
