cname and a records
Hello,
I'm searched here and had a poke about Google but I can't seem to find the answer. I'm in the process of manually transferring over a site and obviously I need to update the NS details with my registrar. So far so good. Currently the domain is with Dreamhost and the A record is pointing to an IP address of 208.113.199.48 There are 4 entries on the page: A 208.113.199.48 TXT CONTROL-BY:123-regftp A 208.113.199.48 www A 208.113.199.48 The new DNS entries in my welcome email from Surpass say: ns2180.dizinc.com ns2181.dizinc.com I'm presuming I need to add the IP of my server in the FTP and WWW sections which is 66.7.192.119? But there doesn't appear to be a section for NS. Should I add a cname entry? Also, MX records. 10 and 20 and are pointing to mx1.balanced.frisky.mail.dreamhost.com. and mx2.balanced.frisky.mail.dreamhost.com. What do I need to change here? |

If you point the domain to the Surpass name servers, that will take care of it.
