Hello Daniel,

Your domain name is already expired and once your domain name has expired you cannot transfer registration services away from Doteasy, you will need to renew the domain name first before you can transfer your registration services away from Doteasy. And this rule apply for all domain registrations regardless of the registration service provider.

After you renew the domain name with Doteasy, you will need to wait 60 days before you can transfer your domain name registration away from Doteasy.

Your domain name fs-1.com has been expired since 06/06/04.

To submit the domain renewal request now to avoid further interruption of your website/email service, here is what you do:

1) Login to Member Zone from
http://member.doteasy.com

2) Once logged in, click on 'Renew My Domain Name' under the 2nd heading 'My Domain - FS-1.com'.

If we can be of any further assistance, please don't hesitate to contact us again. Thank you.

Regards,

Hata

You don't have to register it with them again, you could let it expire.
Takes a long time either way.

That is SO true.

Since the domain is Expired, you could go to another registrar (surpassdomains) and ask them to register it for you.... but it's still going to take some time because there is a 'renewal grace period' of a couple days (a week?) before it's really available again.

The 'grace period' is a very 'grey' thing... it's not a fixed rule, as far as I'm aware, just a gentlemans agreement...

If you go to surpass domains, or another regisrar, and find that it's showing "avaiilable", BUY IT.

fs-1.com was available according to surpass on saturday. And I did buy it with them. Now in my "Manage Domains" area it says

fs-1.com Pending transfer completion

Teq can confirm this then, but I'd say that you just need to tell DotEasy to expire the domain.

That is, if you 'bought' it at surpass domains. if you simply tried to 'transfer' it, that might be a different issue.
