subdomain login
here is the scenario i would like.
i have a link from my main page, www.site.com, called 'clients'. when it is clicked, a login window or page appears. depending on the login name used, the client is directed to a different subdomain. ie, client 1 logs in as client1/password, and is taken to client1.site.com client 2 logs in as client2/password, and is taken to client2.site.com client 3 logs in as client3/password, and is taken to client3.site.com etc... i would like this to happen from a click from a single link, instead of telling each client a different subdomain to go to for each instance. is this someting i can do in cpanel, or is it more of a task for a php login script or something? thanks in advance. |

On the main page you'd need some PHP scripting. I'm assuming this is just for viewing the site, right? You'd probably want the index.html page on the subdomain to check and see if they've come from the main page as well - otherwise you could just go straight there via URL. John
