Domain

I wanted a freind of mine to have their own domain

So instead of
www.gamingforum.org/tweekrzcentral
they wanted
www.tweekrzcentral.com

now i had a look over this forum, but im not sure if this is an addon or parked domain or what

so maybe someone can help me

how do i add this domain (which i think will be under surpass domains) and point it to my web hosting

or would i need a reseller account ?

This would need to be an addon domain. However, your friend would not have access to control panel, so anytime he needed to setup an email address or FTP account, you would have to do it for him, or give him your login to cpanel (which I never recommend).

ummm, if i got reseller do they HAVE to have their own domain ??
or can they have a sub domain/domain after (eg www.gamingforum.org/after domain)

If this is the only other domain you are ever going to have, I would recommend that you just let your friend sign up for his own account (or setup another account for yourself just for your friend if you are really nice).

As far as the reseller goes, if you don't want to use your reseller domain as the main account, just signup with a variant of it, like say the .info version of it (as long as you don't plan on buying this domain later and then parking it on your own domain). You can still access your reseller account by IP address to set up your resold accounts.

Ok allthough i didnt understand everthing in the post (note to self, 3:06am is late, sleep)

3 questions

1)
If i get reseller, my www.gamingforum.org can be both the main account and one of the add on domains ??

2)
how much does an add on domain cost (beacause i have standard)

3)
Which is cheaper, the silver (i think bronze and silver should be swapped, cos bronze should be lower) reseller hosting, or add on domain, or $2 to make my account power

Also in your post were you saying i should make a whole new hosting account for them, beacause that doesnt seem cheaper to me

I think he means your friend should pay and get his own hosting, not you.

I personally would recommend getting the power account, as long as your friend doesn't want cPanel access.

To just add on a domain though, is a $15 one-time fee, on the account you are on.

If you do want to go to a reseller account, bronze is cheaper than silver.. And what is cheaper isn't neccisarily better. I just know that resellers are more expensive per space/bandwidth unit, due to the other advantages they have (like unlimited domains)

No one can really tell you want to do... All of the solutions are perfectly viable and would work fine. It's a matter of what you want to do.
