Question about (dot) tk domain

Okay, I recently directed a .tk domain name to my website, for temporary usage. Now I want to buy a .net or .com domain, how do I get rid of the .tk crap?

Just stop pointing the .tk domain to your website or don't give out its address anymore.

There should be a control panel which will allow you to change the URL.. You can change it to something else, like google.com or direct it at a page on your domain which will redirect you to the new domain.. Erm, I confused myself with that one.

First, after you buy your .com or .net or .org domain, you have to tell Surpass that you want to switch domains for your account.

So, then you can either PARK the .tk domain (this will make the .com and .tk be the same content), or you can abandon the .tk domain by logging into the registrar and, if they have the function available, puting THAT domain into 'parked' mode at the registrars site.

Or you can visit their support department and ask your questions at: http://www.dot.tk/cgi-bin/response.t...ing%20question

That is quoted directly from the http://www.dot.tk website.

Their unused, free domains expire in 90 days if there are less than 25 visitors to the site with the .tk link.
