Arrow Private Domains? [Fast Reply plz]

Well on GoDaddy.com I am going to register a domain and I am still not sure if I should do private or public type domains. Can some please explain the difference to me?
I am also confused about the cost of the private domains on GoDaddy.com

Also, I am going to buy hosting from here but I don't know whether to buy hosting first or domain first, can some please enlighten me? I need an answer fast!

Thank You.

I'm not sure what the difference is between public and private on godaddy. But, i know when i registered through godaddy i did public. Also, in my opinion its best to get the domain and hosting at the same time. the domain takes 24-72 hours to get registered in the dns servers, and you need hosting so you can tell your domain where to point to.

So your saying I should buy the hosting first? So that I can put in the name servers in the domain registration.

And plus, in the public type domain, what happens if we don't put our phone number and addresS?

go private -- or else you get spammed like crazy and people will call your house trying to sell you stuff. Private is the best way!!! Go daddy will also park your domain for free -- so there is no rush for hosting. Relax.

Of course, if you simply went ahead and bought the domain at Surpass -- then you haven't do anything. They will set everything up for you. Yes, they might be a bit more expensive, but it's worth less of the headache and stress.

Yeah i would get the hosting first. Plus, you can start setting up your site while you wait for the dns servers to kick in. I am not sure what happens if you dont put in your phone number and address for the info page. I myself didnt want to put my home addy there so i went down to the post office paid them 20 bucks to get a PO box so thats how i did mine which was probably un necessary. If i were in your shoes, i would put in the correct info at least until the payment for the domain name goes through (If your using a credit card) then afterwards go in and change all the contact info for the domain to fake information.

you can't go private then -- because I believe it's $9.95 extra. You can always go private later. check out their site if you really want to know how much.
