You don't need to register your domain through Surpass Domains. Surpass Domains is a reseller of domain names, as opposed to a direct register. That automatically makes their own costs higher, and so the costs that are displayed to us as customers are higher. There are benefits of buying a domain from Surpass though. They have the ability to troubleshoot your entire site, as opposed to just the hosting aspect of it. If you have an offsite domain registar and you have a problem, Surpass can't help you. They will also set up your nameservers to your hosting automatically.

So, you can register your domain anywhere... GoDaddy, Enom, whatever you choose. And you can still point it here to Surpass for hosting.
