How long for a Transfered Domain to Transfer?

Hi,

I have had hosting with another company, but just not happy with their functionality or speed. My account was about to come up for renewal so I jumped ship to Surpass! :-)

Both of my Domains are about to expire as well, so I transfered them to SurpassDomains.com from NameCheap.com. This was on Tuesday and so far they are still pending transfer.

Really, I'm just wondering how long they typically take to transfer over? I logged into NameCheap.com and updated the DNS info today for my Surpasshosting space, and also made sure that the domains were not registrar locked while I was there (they are not).

Thanks!

~~~Eric~~~
Generally the transfers I've done have only taken three days total. When you initiated the tranfer, you should have received an email (to the domains owner as listed with your current registar) from the new registrar asking you to approve the transfer. Once approved, the old registrar should send an email asking you to approve the transfer. After this is done the domain is usually transfered within 24 hours.
fwwebs5, thank you for answering Eric. For some reason this thread was not showing up in new posts for me.
By the way Eric, I'm showing for your domain in your forum profile, that the email contact is a verizon.net address, so I'm sure you have access to that email and are able to check messages you receive there, regarding the transfer.
