Everyone keep an eye on your domains!

Pretty interesting read. Especially to those of you with larger sites.

I saw this on GoDaddy.com, they said just lock your domains, but I don't see why they can't just lock our domains for us. I locked all my domains because I don't plan to change anything.
I think you should do the same, use lock or whatever your domain provider has that prevents the changing of nameservers and ownership. It seems the best way to stay safe, and you can always unlock when you need to change something.

Well I has always had my domain locked for security reason like this. So noone can transfer my domain. And if i need to change nameserver i unlock the domain and change the servers. Thne i lock it again. And if someone shoud hack into my account and unlock my domain i get any emails that tells me exactly what he did with it. You must be secured these days.

Thanks KickersNy, for that advice. I just went and locked my three domain names per your advice. And this is why I love this community!

No problem. I think I may actually try and exploit this to get my domain under my name rather than my old host's, because it took him a week and a half to change the nameservers when I transferred to Surpass...*shifty eyes* I doubt I will though, it expires in March. I'll probably just buy it then.

Realize that when a domain expires, it can take up to 6 months for it to be free on the registars to register again... I would actually recommend trying to get access for it if you can.
